Summer is around the bend, but the heat is here! Enjoying relatively cool mornings and evenings, but the days have been in the 90's and to get even warmer this week. Need to visit the pool, travel to the ocean or something right away to enjoy all the sunshine and warmth. It's more bearable at the ocean than anywhere else in my opinion.
My neighbors are sitting on their porch in their wicker rockers every morning as I leave for work. We wave and I am envious of the relaxation they are enjoying. They look so pleased with just sitting and drinking their coffee.
Flowers, day lilies, hosta and petunias are at their peak now. All so beautiful and pleasing to enjoy when I get a chance to sit around or even weed around them! I found white blooming ivy leafed geraniums this year and they are so pretty in my hanging baskets. Elephant ears are waving in the breeze and remind me of the first year I planted them when they did so much better than I expected and multiplied to 30 or more bulbs for the next year!
Vacation days are two weeks away, my first this year. I can hardly wait to just relax and do what I want for a full week. I hope to enjoy the water somewhere for at least a long weekend. God is good and has provided a great life for us. Not abundance, but comfortable and enough. Thank you., Lord.
